Likely venue of IPL 2019
South Africa and UAE have emerged out to be likely the host for IPL 2019 if the tournament is shifted out of the country. Both the countries have hosted the tournament in past.

Photo credits: BCCI The General elections in India next year could see the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 shifted out of fully or partially, as has been the case on past two occasions. In 2009, the whole tournament was shifted out and was played in South Africa while in 2014, few of the matches were shifted to UAE before the major part of elections was over. The first 20 matches of the league were played in UAE – till April 30th.The tournament was back in India from May 2 with Ranchi hosting the first game. For once again, South Africa and UAE have emerged out to be two contenders to host the T20 league. As per a report in The Mumbai Mirror, if the whole of the tournament is to be shifted out of the country, South Africa will be the preferred choice while if it comes to shifting a part of the tournament outside India, UAE will host the league.
