Basketball Federation of India President Aadhav Arjuna presented a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh each to the Tamil Nadu men’s and Kerala women’s teams who won the National level 3 x 3 Senior Basketball Championship held in Chennai.
India’s first ever 3 x 3 National Basketball Championship started on 22nd at Chennai Nehru Indoor Stadium.
A total of 56 teams participated in this series in men’s and women’s categories. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals of the tournament, jointly organized by the Basketball Federation of India and the Tamil Nadu Basketball Association, were held today.16 teams including Tamil Nadu men’s and women’s teams participated in this.
In the men’s semi-finals, the Punjab team defeated the Kerala team and the Tamil Nadu team defeated the Rajasthan team in the final.In this, the Tamil Nadu team beat the Punjab team with the score of 17 to 16 and won the champion Title.
In the women’s semi-final, the Tamil Nadu team lost the victory to the Delhi team and finished fourth.Kerala beat Delhi 20 to 15 in the women’s final.
Tamil Nadu, Punjab and Kerala teams grabbed the top three positions in the Men’s category respectively.
Similarly, in the women’s category, Kerala, Delhi and Railway teams took the top three spots.
The first place team was given a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh, the second place team got Rs 2 lakh and the third place team got Rs 1 lakh.
Basketball Federation of India President Aadhav Arjuna, High Court Justice Radhakrishnan Bhatt, Karan Singh, Selvaganesh IRS, Scott Fleming, General Secretary Kulwinder Singh and others presented the trophies and prizes.
The top 7 teams in the men’s and women’s categories of the series will participate in the 37th National Games to be held in Goa on October 23.
சென்னையில் நடைபெற்ற தேசிய அளவிலான திரீ எக்ஸ் த்ரீ கூடைப்பந்து போட்டியில் சாம்பியன் பட்டம் வென்ற தமிழ்நாடு ஆடவர் மற்றும் கேரளா மகளிர் அணிகளுக்கு இந்திய கூடைப்பந்து சம்மேளன தலைவர் ஆதவ் அர்ஜுனா தலா 3 லட்சம் ரூபாய் ரொக்கப்பரிசு வழங்கினார்.
இந்தியாவிலேயே முதன் முறையாக த்ரீ எக்ஸ் த்ரீ தேசிய கூடைப்பந்து சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டிகள் சென்னை நேரு உள்விளையாட்டு அரங்கில் 22 ஆம் தேதி தொடங்கியது.
இந்த தொடரில் ஆடவர் மற்றும் மகளிர் பிரிவில் மொத்தம் 56 அணிகள் பங்கேற்றன. இந்திய கூடைப்பந்து சம்மேளனம் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு கூடைப்பந்து சங்கம் இணைந்து நடத்திய இந்த போட்டியின் காலிறுதி, அரையிறுதி மற்றும் இறுதிப்பொட்டிகள் இன்று நடைபெற்றன.
இதில் தமிழ்நாடு ஆடவர் மற்றும் மகளிர் அணிகள் உட்பட 16 அணிகள் பங்கேற்றன.
ஆடவர் அரையிறுதி போட்டிகளில் கேரளா அணியை வீழ்த்திய பஞ்சாப் அணியும், ராஜஸ்தான் அணியை வென்ற தமிழ்நாடு அணியும் இறுதிப்போட்டியில் பலப்பரீட்சை நடத்தின.
இதில் தமிழ்நாடு அணி பஞ்சாப் அணியை 17க்கு 16 என்கிற கணக்கில் வென்று சாம்பியன் பட்டம் பெற்றது.
மகளிர் அரையிறுதியில் டெல்லி அணியிடம் வெற்றியை பறி கொடுத்த தமிழ்நாடு அணி நான்காம் இடம் பிடித்தது.
மகளிர் பிரிவு இறுதிப்போட்டியில் கேரளா அணி டெல்லி அணியை 20 க்கு 15 என்ற புள்ளிகணக்கில் வென்றது.
ஆடவர் பிரிவில் முதல் மூன்று இடங்களை முறையே தமிழ்நாடு, பஞ்சாப் மற்றும் கேரளா அணிகள் கைப்பற்றின.
அதே போல பெண்கள் பிரிவில் கேரளா, டெல்லி மற்றும் ரயில்வே அணிகள் முதல் மூன்று இடங்களை தட்டி சென்றன.
முதலிடத்தை பிடித்த அணிக்கு ரொக்கப் பரிசாக 3 லட்சம் ரூபாயும், 2 வது இடம் பிடித்த அணிக்கு 2 லட்சம் ரூபாயும், மூன்றாவது இடம் பிடித்த அணிக்கு 1 லட்சம் ரூபாயும் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
கோப்பைகள் மற்றும் பரிசுகளை இந்திய கூடைப்பந்து சம்மேளன தலைவர் ஆதவ் அர்ஜுனா, உயர்நீதிமன்ற நீதிபதி ராதாகிருஷ்ணன் பட், கரண் சிங், செல்வகணேஷ் ஐ ஆர்.எஸ், ஸ்காட் ஃபிளெமிங் பொது செயலாளர் குல்விந்தர் சிங் உள்ளிட்டோர் வழங்கினர்.
இந்த தொடரில் ஆடவர் மற்றும் மகளிர் பிரிவில் முதல் 7 இடங்களை பிடித்த அணிகள் வரும் அக்டோபர் 23 ஆம் தேதி கோவாவில் நடைபெற உள்ள 37 வது தேசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகளில் பங்கேற்க உள்ளன.
